Yum Carol.....

Misc.
Hi Carol,

Yes, these Middle Eastern grocery stores have delicious foods as well. We are lucky to have one in Tampa called The Sahara. Whenever I make into town I always stop in and get their Spinach and Feta Triangles. I also pick up Rose Water and Orange Water there for baking. They also have a Rose Petal Jam in a jar that is absolutely divine and the scent, oh my goodness!!

They also sell kibbeh, these little football shaped bulgher balls filled with ground spiced lamb with pinenuts, yum!!

Last week Mom and I stopped in looking for Mjuddurrah, a rice they make with sauteed onions and lentils....they didn't have any but he did have a giant box of dates from California and the dates were 25 cents apiece. They were so moist and delicious, nothing at all like what we buy boxed at the grocers. I am sorry I didn't buy more. Maybe next time...

Anyway, enjoy your Middle Eastern Shop as they have all sorts of delightful treasures in there, don't forget to try their feta cheese!!

Your Friend, Gina
