I did a lot of researching in terms of who Sara Spano was, what paper she worked for and that led me to the Ledger-Enquirer and searched for the recipe and this came up. She was not given credit, however, thank you to Betsy of Recipe Link ....she posted the recipe after I explained that the recipe was not credited to Sara Spano.

I also learned that Sara Spano has a cookbook called "Through the Years," in case you may want to seek a copy.

Hope the recipe is enjoyed....I know I enjoyed the culinary sleuthing.
