Recipe: Japanese Yellow Sauce

Toppings - Sauces and Gravies
I also have been searching for the "yellow stuff" recipe and when I asked a chef at Rokbonkis in Buffalo Grove, IL he said it was just egg yolk and oil. I also asked the chef at Kampaii in Mt. Prospect, Il and he said the same thing. Neither of them could give me the amounts tho because they make such mass quantities! Ron of Japan is quite the best but for the price and distance from the NW suburbs, I think Kampaii and Rokbonki are just as good. Atmosphere is better at Rons but you are paying for it in the long run. If you're in the neighborhood, give them a try. Minnesota DOES NOT have yellow sauce nor anything much other than chains in the suburbs and even those are nowhere near the food in Chicago!
