Microwave Oven Odor

Misc.

Assume you have done the obvious, like clean it really well, and remove nany glass tray or removalable parts and washed them well. I have put 3/4 cup water and 2 Tablespoons distilled or cider vinegar in a container large enough to not boil over, such as a two cup pyrex measure, and set on high until it comes to a boil and then boil on 5 or 6 for a couple of minutes. If you then let it set in the oven for awhile, it gets steamy and you can wipe it out and most of the odor from the bacon should be gone. Of course then it might smell like vinegar! That seems to dissipate though. I am just wondering if wiping it out with baking soda and water might help also. The vinegar has worked for me. Perhaps someone else will have some help on it.
