More on food processor/blender/juicer

Misc.
Cuisinart makes a juicer attachment for their food processor. My mom had the juicer attachment and she liked it. I've always regretted that I didn't take dibs on it when she decided to hang up her kitchen mitts.

Food processors are more versatile than blenders but processors don't do regular blending as well. If you want smooth purees, fruit smoothies etc you won't like the way a processor does them, but you'll get slicing, shredding and chopping as well as things like pastry and pasta dough making that you couldn't do with your blender. Food processor and blender both do equally well at bread/cracker crumbs, chopping nuts, things like that.

I have a very heavy duty blender, a vitamix, that I use constantly but I also use the food processor. If I had to choose between the two I really don't know how I'd decide. But between a food processor and a regular blender rather than a heavy duty blender, I'd choose the food processor.
