Ojala!

Misc.
Well, I don't know if "costly equipment" is in my future, but...I hope to have some level of talent, and for it to provide a diversion for me. Thank-you for such an encouraging example in your neighbour, though, Gladys. You are always inspiring me!

Yes, our Lynda arrives today. Luis and I are going this afternoon to fetch them from the airport, and bring them back to Maple Ridge (the suburb of Vancouver, where we live). Tomorrow, we are taking them to Harrison Hot Springs for the day. It is a lovely, scenic, drive; the destination was once the stomping grounds of the rich and famous. And, I am sure the company will be scintillating, and even the weather is predicting to co-operate; 24C (about 85F) and sunny.

Back here for dinner. Salmon and tabbouleh (which I will start preparing shortly, for tomorrow)with parsley, mint, cherry tomatoes, etc. from my little garden. Carrot cake for dessert, some "Casa Luis" Chardonnay. Hope it will be a perfect end to a perfect day!

Well, got to get to work...it is 9 am already, and we are leaving to go to the airport at 3. Hope to have everything ready, so I can enjoy their visit, with minimal work on my end while they are here, having prepared adequately ahead of time.

I'll try to remember to have Lynda make a post from my computer, to say "hello!" And give her impressions of Vancouver!

Carolyn!
