BLUEBERRY TURTLES
4 ounces bittersweet chocolate
1 cup fresh blueberries, at room temperature
Cover a baking sheet with waxed paper.
Melt the chocolate in a mixing bowl in the microwave or over barely simmering hot water.
Mix the berries into the warm chocolate, stirring gently with a rubber spatula to coat them. With a fork, lift 6 to 8 berries and drop them in a cluster onto the waxed paper, nudging them into a nice shape. Scrape together any chocolate remaining in the bowl and drizzle it over the clusters. Refrigerate until firm, about 45 minutes.
Remove the clusters from the waxed paper and arrange them on a serving plate. Let them sit just until the chocolate loses its dull look, about 10 minutes. Serve immediately.
Blueberry Turtles keep up to 24 hours, lightly covered with waxed paper in the refrigerator.
Makes 24 pieces
