old fashion cheese cake with cookie crust and not round, but high and spongy

Misc.
This cheese cake is one I had when I was young(60 yrs ago)made in a bakery in the neighborhood. It had a dark cookie crust and was not round, but square, and could be cut to the size you wanted to buy. It was about six inches high and dusted with powered sugar and had a hint of lemon and was not real creamy but delicious. It was made in the bakeries in the forties. Anyone have a recipe for it?

Thanks,
Alice
