re: 13th Birthday Party Ideas

Misc.
My daughters are celebrating their 13th birthday next month. Some of the suggestions they have made:

Skating party at the local rink
Sleepover and makeovers for their girlfriends
Murder mystery party
Renting local community centre for a dance with boys and girls invited.

I think your Mom's idea about having the kids in the garage is a good one. You can have some fun decorating - give it a theme. Use some big bright barrels for ice and cold soft drinks. We usually barbeque when we have a crowd or simplify it with chips and other snacks.

Last year we had a pinata outside for the kids and they loved it. We also have done scavenger hunts. Since your birthday is before Easter, why not an Easter egg hunt around your property. Get those plastic eggs and inside put a hersey's kiss or an easter egg. Lots of fun! Make sure you count them before you hide them. We have also made teams and sent them looking for specific colored eggs. Inside the eggs were letters that spelled a word. The team would have to have all of the letters, know what the word was and given back to me in order to win!

And remember, karaoke is always a hit!
