re: Janocks

I have a book called English Bread and Yeast Cookery by Elizabeth David. It
briefly refers to a jannok as a "Lancashire term for wheaten flour bread made on
a leaven, as well as for oaten bread or cake" referencing "The Baker's ABC" ed.
John Kirkland, 1927.
Would this also be the same as a bannock? Another reference made was to "The
Scots Kitchen" by F. Marian McNiell (1929).
There are some recipes in the book for oatcakes or bannocks. If you would like
me to post them, let me know. Perhaps one of these books will help.
