Here's another tip:
Brown sugar keeps cookies moister and softer, because it contains molasses (the dark brown sugar has more molasses than the light brown and has a stronger taste). White sugar makes cookies crisper/harder. So, use all brown sugar or at least half brown and half white sugar in your recipes.
