re: source for canned gooseberries

Misc.
When I cannot obtain gooseberries from friends in North Carolina, I buy canned at Bavarian specialty stores or stores that sell imported goods from Germany, Austria, Switzerland. There are numerous specialty stores of that nature in Fla. and in the midwest.
Of course, the very best are from the wooded areas in North Carolina. But, they are diminishing over the past decade or so.
