re: The Original Maid-Rite Sandwiches

Misc.
The original Maid-Rite was originated in Newton Iowa by the Taylor family, and was later in Marshalltown, Iowa, and spread through the Midwest. They are simple and delicious, served with a spoon and a malt or shake in a six ounce glass that should only be refilled by the counter people, as you will spill it over everything. Every time I go back home, I have two!!!
