Love 'em, too. Sorry to hear we're sending out hocky pucks. The rain may have a bit to do with the texture (i.e., concrete) as well.

During our peach season, I brake for: Peach Pie, Nectarine Pie and both in a pie! Crisps and Crumbles and Cobblers and Deep-Dish heaven all tarted up with cream; plain, sweetened and spirited! Best, still warm from the oven a la mode with just-made ice cream and a perfect slice on top!

Occasionally, the food chains cheat and fly in white peaches from South America. Okay, I guess, since it's their summer. But peaches need a bit of outdoor heat to make those juices running down one's chin taste better!

Now, if Summer would just arrive . . .
