Oh, Sarah, what a description!

My mother used to can the peach halves perfectly lined up so those beautiful glistening halves showed in the syrup! I tried it just once, and they looked like mice had nibbled around all the edges, they didn't line up perfectly. Tasted alright I guess. I have a wonderful recipe for Tropical Fruit Jam using peaches, bananas, maraschino cherries. It's delightful on hot scones or muffins, if anyone is interested in it, I*'ll post it tomorrow. Do you have a good recipe(s) for some of those lovely things you described in your post?? If you have time, I'd like them (all).

Thanks - guess that would have to be on another message board, tho, cause they're not canning or preserving. I'll look around!
