Rhonda, I hope you check back soon :-)

Misc.
Rhonda, I looked up whiskey and whiskey substitutes. This may help. I was going to do this to add to my recipe finds, but YOU ARE QUICK!!!

_____________________________________________________

whiskey = (in Canada and Scotland) whisky

Varieties: Straight whiskeys tend to have a more robust flavor than blended whiskeys, which include several whiskeys and, sometimes, neutral spirits.

The most highly esteemed whiskies are straight Bourbon and single-malt Scotch.

Lower in the pecking order are rye whiskey, blended Scotch, sour-mash whiskey and the lighter and drier Irish whiskey and Canadian whisky.

At the bottom is corn whiskey, also known as moonshine.

***** Substitutes: cognac OR sherry OR small amount of vanilla extract
