Speaking of matts...

Misc.

Aren't bath matts lovely these days?
Well, I got sick and tired of the backing on them mildewing and then crumbling from laundering.
So, I put a nice large towel bar up about 3' from the floor to hang it on.
For every day use I use a nice thick towel instead, it can be hung on the towel bar and dries quickly. Just throw it in the washer and dryer to clean.
Bring out the beutiful bath matt when company is expected -- or unexpected. It's clean and mildew free.
Why do they put that backing on those matts anyway, when a thick towel will do?
Burgundy, that's a great tip about the door matts. I use gobs of them everywhere because I have light carpet in my living room and I'm not about to ask people to take their shoes off every time they come in.
I'm glad you've joined us, you do have great tips.
