I can also find another recipe if this is not the one. I have one that is similar, but didn't find it right away. I made it and it made great sloppy joes. I just browned some ground beef, drained well, added the jar of sauce, and thickend a little with cornstarch. We ate them on hamburger buns. Really good.
My daughter liked them,too.
I hope this brings back fond memories for your husband.
