Misc.Well....I read this & thought I could help, but after searching my oldest cookbooks, found recipes, but not the origin (but I suppose it's English) or history. So, I'll look forward to the other replies you get. Eggnog was always served in a big cut-glass bowl, with adorable Santa cups all around...at my Great-Aunts house during the holidays...but, alas, I was too little to be allowed a taste! Cali : )
