wreath ideas

Misc.
I, too, would like to leave my Christmas wreath up all year long. It's made like an artificial pine Christmas tree--stiff plastic needles twisted into heavy-gauge wire "twigs."

For Halloween, my daughter and I wired little plastic jack o'lanterns (marketed as mini treat cups) and ghosts (a styrofoam ball inside a square of white muslin) to the wreath. We finished that off with a huge orange bow.

For Thanksgiving, I removed the pumpkins and ghosts and replaced the bow with a gold one.

For Christmas, I just used a bright red bow.

For Spring, I'll probably just use a pale pink bow. Not sure if I want to wire flowers (can't find plastic flowers anymore!) or Easter eggs to the wreath, too.

Our front door is set well back from the street, so any decorations have to be big and bold just to be visible.

I'd sure appreciate any other ideas. Right now, the wreath is inside because I don't know how to make it look "wintry" without making it look like I forgot to take down the Christmas decorations.
