ISO: Mushroom Soup (not cream style)

A few years ago I used to eat at a cafe near my work. They served the best mushroom soup with a beef stock base. It had fresh mushrooms and rice in it. It was similar to a Sweet and Sour soup, but without the strong sweet and sour flavoring. Does anyone have a recipe for Mushroom soup (not cream of mushroom) similar to this to share?
