Recipe: Lingonberry Sauce for Bob!

LINGONBERRY SAUCE
Yield: 1 Cup

1 orange
1 cup Madeira or port wine
1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
1/2 cup lingonberry jelly
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper or ground ginger

Peel orange, finely chop the peel. Cook peel with wine until wine is reduced by one-third.

Add juice of the orange, lemon juice, jelly, and seasoning. Stir until jelly is melted.

Note: This is a great sauce for game. It can be served hot or cold.


LINGONBERRY SAUCE

1 quart lingonberries
2 1/2 cups apples
1 1/2 cups sugar

Cook apples in small amount of water until nearly tender. Add sugar and lingonberries and cook until thickened, about 10 minutes. Serve hot or cold.
