Recipe: Brandied Pears

Hi John,

I hope this 'fits the bill'.

Brandied Pears

6 pears, peeled, cored
2 c. red wine
2 whole cloves
1 sm. stick cinnamon, broken
1/2 c. sugar
2 oz. Brandy

Place all ingredients but brandy in saucepan. Simmer until pears are tender. Place pears in serving bowl. Remove cloves and cinnamon from hot syrup and stir in brandy. Heat gently for 1 minute and pour over pears.
