ISO: Polish/Ukrainian Easter Breakfast Cold Platter

Misc.
Hi June, thank you so much for posting your Easter Breakfast recipe " it sounds wonderful. I m actually searching for something similar, but the version I grew up with was served cold.

I come from a mixed 'tradition family: my mother was Ukrainian/Polish and my father was German. Christmas Eve was always the traditional Ukrainian 12 meatless dishes, but Easter tended to be more of a hybrid affair. One of the dishes we always had for Easter breakfast was a cold platter made a couple of days ahead so the flavours could meld.

What I remember is this: three kinds of sausage (keilbasa, hunter, and garlic), sliced into rounds; shaved slivers of horseradish; and hard 'boiled eggs, halved. I m sure there were other ingredients in the mix, but I can t recall them now. I just remember the savoury, tangy combination and how it all came together after resting in the fridge.

I m wondering if you ve ever come across a dish like this, or if it rings any bells for you?
