Recipe(tried): Zippy Croutons

Misc.

Zippy Croutons
I have made this many times to use up stale French or Italian bread. My
Grandchildren munch on these for a snack. Make the cubes as small or large as
you like. I usually cut off the crust but not always.

1/4 cups Italian salad dressing
1/4 tsp. garlic powder (more if you like)
4 cups stale Italian bread cubes

Mix dressing and garlic powder. Place bread cubes in large bowl and drizzle
dressing over them, tossing to mix. Place in 9x13-inch pan in a single layer.
Bake at 425 degrees for about 8 minutes until browned (time depending on
staleness of bread). Turn off oven and let remain in oven until crisp all the
way through. Store airtight or freeze.
