Recipe(tried): Taco Salad

Whenever I'm invited to a friend or families house for pot luck or a cookout I'm always asked to bring Taco Salad. I sometimes ask if I can bring something else and the hostess usually says sure.... as long as I also bring the taco salad. Here is the recipe. It is soooo easy.

Taco Salad

1 pound ground beef
1 package Taco Seasoning Mix
4 to 8 cups shredded lettuce (depends on how many you want to serve)
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 bag Doritos, Nacho Cheese Flavor
1 8 oz. bottle Kraft Catalina dressing (this is the key ingredient)

Prepare ground beef and taco seasoning mix according to package directions. Let cool completely.

Place shredded lettuce in large bowl. Add cheese. Add meat mixture. Top with crushed Doritos. Toss to combine. Pour dressing on and toss well. If it sits for about 30 minutes the dressing has a chance to mellow. Make sure it gets eaten all up because the leftovers are too soggy to eat. Enjoy.

If you are taking it someplace, stop after adding the crushed Doritos (don't toss yet). Then toss when you arrive at your destination. Bring the recipe to share.
