Recipe: Crock Pot Hot Dog Sauce (using cornmeal)

CROCK POT HOT DOG SAUCE

1 lb. ground chuck, ground fine
1 tbsp. oil
4 cups hot water
1 onion, chopped fine
1/4 cup cornmeal
1/3 cup mustard (optional)
1/3 cup catsup (optional)
1 small can or jar chili powder (about 1.2 oz.)
1 1/4 tsp. allspice
1 1/4 tsp. black pepper
1 1/2 tsp. paprika
1 1/4 tsp. red cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp. ground sage
1 pkg. McCormick's hot chili seasoning mix

Brown ground chuck in oil.

Place in crock pot and add other ingredients. Let cook at least 2 hours.
