ISO: Horn and Hardarts Applesauce cake

Does anyone have the recipe for Horn and Hardart's Applesauce Cake? My Grandmother worked there and my Mom used to take me there when I was upset. She would give me some pickles(my favorite) and a piece of this cake and somehow everything would be better. Any information would be appreciated.Thanks
