Recipe: apple jelly

Misc.
The easiest method is to purchase a package of powdered or liquid pectin in the grocery store and follow the directions for apple jelly. I prefer Sure Jell but other brands are fine, too. You may use bottled apple juice for making an easy jelly with the pectin. Here is a recipe:

4 cups unsweetened apple juice
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 pkg. powdered pectin
4 1/2 cups sugar

Pour apple juice and lemon juice into a 8 quart saucepot.Add pectin and mix well. Bring to a boil. Stir in sugar, bring to a full rolling boil and boil for 1 minute. Stir constantly. Remove from heat, skim foam. Ladle into jars. Process in water bath for 5 minutes.
