Recipe(tried): Cajun Chicken and Shrimp Alfredo

CAJUN CHICKEN AND SHRIMP ALFREDO

Ingredients: (These are approx. I cook out of my head)
2 Boneless chicken breasts
1 lb cooked peeled shrimp
Olive oil
FOR THE SAUCE:
1 jar Alfredo sauce
1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
1/4 onion finely chopped
2 Tbsp Cajun spice (I use Zatarain's)
1 Tbsp minced garlic
Pinch of Basil (ground)
Salt is not needed as the Cajun spice has it in there already
Pepper (to taste)
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese.
Hot sauce or cayenne pepper (if you desire heat)
Hot cooked pasta (for serving)

Chicken should be cut into small pieces (easier to cut while partially frozen) Pan fry in small amount of olive oil. Drain oil when done.

TO PREPARE THE SAUCE:
Combine the Alfredo sauce and tomato sauce in a bowl. Add the onion, Cajun seasoning, garlic, mozzarella cheese, and basil. Whisk thoroughly.

Add sauce to chicken and shrimp in pan and simmer over med-low heat for about 15 minutes, or until thickened.

Pour over your choice of pasta.
