Recipe: Candied Apples

CANDIED APPLES
1 c. corn syrup (white)
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vinegar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. water
Cook to a hard ball stage, then add 1 tablespoon butter,
1 teaspoon flavoring and 1/4 teaspoon food coloring. Put
stick in apples; hold and dip in syrup, then roll in coconut or
crushed peanuts. Put on wax paper tray.
