SWEET PICKLE STICKS (6 Pints)

Use fresh, firm, medium cukes. Wash and cut them into sticks. Pour boiling water over them and let stand 4-5 hours. Drain and pack solidly into clean jars.

Make a solution of:

3 and 3/4 cups vinegar (white)
3 cups sugar
3 Tablespoons UN iodized salt
4 - and 1/2 teasp. celery seed
4- and 1/2 teasp. turmeric
3/4 teasp. mustard seed

Boil solution for 5 minutes. Pour boiling hot over cukes in jars. Keep jars warm so they don't crack. Screw caps on tight. Process in boiling water bath for 5 minutes.
