Recipe: Chocolate Chip Banana Bread (using sour cream)

CHOCOLATE CHIP BANANA BREAD

3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
2 cups (2 medium) mashed ripe bananas
1/2 cup sour cream
2 eggs
2 cups flour
2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup mini chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour (bottom only) of one (9x5-inch) or two (8x4-inch) loaf pans.

Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add bananas, sour cream and eggs and mix together well.

Stir in flour, baking soda and salt and combine well. Fold in chips and nuts. Pour into prepared pan.

Bake 55-65 minutes until tooth pick comes out clean. Cool 15 minutes before removing from pan. Finish cooling on rack.

Makes 1 (9x5-inch) loaf or 2 (8x4-inch) loaves
