Recipe: Mary Mac's Tea Room Mama's Spoon Rolls (no knead)

Breads - Yeast Breads
MAMA'S SPOON ROLLS


2 cups warm water (100 to 110 degrees F)
1 pkg. active dry yeast
1/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup vegetable oil
1 large egg, lightly beaten
4 cups self-rising flour

Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F. Grease a 12-cup muffin tin.

In a large bowl, combine the yeast and 2 cups warm water.

Using a sturdy wooden spoon, add the remaining ingredients and mix well. Fill the cups of the muffin tin half-full with batter.

Bake for 20 minutes or until the tops are lightly browned.

Makes 24 rolls
