Recipe: Coconut Bonbons (using cream cheese, no bake)

Desserts - Cookies, Brownies, Bars
COCONUT BONBONS

1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1/4 tsp. vanilla
Dash of salt
2 1/2 cups sifted confectioners' sugar
Shredded coconut
Maraschino cherries, drained
Pecans or English walnuts

Cream the cream cheese. Stir in vanilla and salt, then add confectioner's sugar. Mix thoroughly.

Take a teaspoonful of the mixture at a time and roll into a ball, putting a cherry or nutmeats in the center.

Roll in shredded coconut. (Or, you may roll the coconut and/or chopped nuts into the cream cheese mixture.) Store in the refrigerator.
