Recipe: Cranberry Cherry Relish (The Household Searchlight, 1930's)

CRANBERRY CHERRY RELISH

2 cups brown sugar
1 1/2 cups fresh cranberries, stems removed
1 1/2 cups raisins
1 cup pitted cherries, canned or fresh
1 orange, cut in small pieces, seeds removed
1 lemon, cut in small pieces, seeds removed
1/2 cup vinegar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/2 cinnamon stick

Combine ingredients. Mix thoroughly. Cook slowly, stirring frequently, until thick. Remove cinnamon stick.
