I threw this together for DH the other night and he ate it two days in a row, he liked it so much. The packaged chili seasoning mix (found in the grocery aisle with other packaged mixes such as meatloaf seasoning, spaghetti sauce seasoning, etc.) comes in different levels of spice heat. DH prefers the hot type.
EASY HOT CHILI DOGS FOR DH
1 1/4 pounds organic ground beef
1/2 medium onion, chopped
1 pkg Kroger Hot (Spicy) Chili Seasoning Mix
1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes, undrained
Turkey hot dogs, sliced (to taste)
Velveeta Light process cheese, cut into chunks (to taste)
Brown ground beef and onion in a non-stick skillet that has been sprayed with cooking spray. Drain.
Stir in chili mix, tomatoes and sliced hot dogs. Heat until hot dogs are warmed through.
Add cubed Velveeta cheese to taste. Heat and stir until cheese is melted.
