Recipe: Hot Fudge Sauce (using maple syrup)

HOT FUDGE

"You can use dark or milk chocolate for this scrumptious quick-and-easy hot fudge. Spoon it over ice cream or other frozen desserts, or drizzle it on cake."

2/3 cup dark chocolate chips or chunks
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 cup water
1/3 cup maple syrup

Place all the ingredients in a 1-quart saucepan over low heat. Whisk for 2 minutes or until the chocolate has melted and the sauce is smooth. Taste and add more maple syrup, if desired.

Serve immediately.
