Recipe: Easy Monte Cristo Sandwich (microwave - using frozen precooked French toast)

Sandwiches
EASY MONTE CRISTO SANDWICH

2 slices frozen precooked French toast
2 slices (about 3/4 ounce each) Swiss cheese
2 thin slices (about 1/2 ounce each) deli ham
2 thin slices (about 1/2 ounce each) deli turkey
Powdered sugar (optional)
2 Tablespoons strawberry preserves, for dipping

Place frozen French toast slices side by side on a microwave-safe plate. Heat on high for 1 minute, then turn over and heat on high for 15 seconds.

Remove from microwave and top each bread slice with a slice of cheese, ham and turkey. Place slices together to make a sandwich. Return to microwave and heat on high for 30 seconds or until cheese melts.

Cut sandwich into four triangles. Sprinkle with powdered sugar, if desired, and serve with strawberry preserves for dipping.

Makes 1 serving.
