FRUITY SOFT ICE CREAM
1 cup heavy (whipping) cream, chilled
3/4 cup dry milk
1/4 cup sugar
1 (16 ounce) package frozen strawberries, raspberries, or boysenberries, divided use
Place whipping cream, dry milk and sugar in blender container. Cover and blend on high speed 10 seconds.
Add about 1/2 cup of the berries. Cover and blend 10 seconds then stir. Repeat procedure with remaining berries, using about 1/2 cup of berries at a time.
Serve immediately or for firmer consistency freeze 1 hour.
VARIATIONS:
SPICED APPLE SOFT ICE CREAM:
Substitute 16 ounces frozen sliced apples for the berries. Add 1 teaspon pumpkin pie spice.
YOGURT FRUIT SHAKES:
Use 1 cup plain yogurt for the heavy cream, and if desired, use 2 packages of frozen quick-thaw peaches in place of the berries.
Makes 6 servings
