Also, if you already know you can put them into the washing machine on gentle, using cold wash and rinse, instead of laundry detergent, use a box of baking soda for each quilt. Let it agitate for half the wash time, turn the washer off and let it sit for a couple of hours, turn back on to finish washing and rinsing. You could then line dry it if wish.
