Recipe: Independence Day Flag

Desserts - Puddings, Gelatin
INDEPENDENCE DAY FLAG

2 to 3 pkgs. red Jell-O
2 to 3 pkgs. blue Jell-O
1 tub or can whipped cream

Following the directions on the package, prepare the red Jell-O and the blue Jell-O cake-style by pouring and allowing gelatin to set in 2 flat pans. When gelatin has set, use a star-shaped cookie cutter to cut out as many stars of each flavor as possible. (Be sure to eat the leftover pieces.)

Lay down the layer of red stars on the bottom of a large serving bowl. Then put a layer of whipped cream that covers the red stars entirely. Follow with a layer of blue stars to cover as much of the whipped cream as possible. Now you have a wonderful and tasty Fourth of July treat.

Serves 10 or more
