Direct from the back of an Inn Maid Noodle Package
Two ways to cook Inn Maid Noodles:
Add noodles to two quarts of boiling broth or water. Cook for 20 minutes. Season to taste.
The other cooking suggestion: Add noodles to two quarts of boiling broth or water. Cover pan and then turn off heat. Steam in covered pan for 30 minutes.
INN MAID TUNA CASSEROLE
1/2 cup chopped celery
1/4 cup chopped onion
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 (6-1/2 ounce) can tuna, undrained and flaked
1 (10-3/4 ounce can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 cup milk
1 (4-ounce) can sliced mushrooms, drained
1 tablespoon chopped pimento
1 (8-ounce) bag Inn Maid Medium Noodles
1/2 cup bread crumbs
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
In a large skillet, saute onion and celery in butter or margarine. Stir in tuna, soup, mayonnaise, milk, mushrooms and pimento.
Meanwhile, cook noodles according to package directions and drain in colander.
In a 2-quart greased casserole, combine noodles and tuna mixture. Top with bread crumbs tossed with 2 tablespoons melted butter or margarine.
Bake at 350 degrees(F) for 25-30 minutes, or until lightly browned and bubbly.
Makes 6 servings.
