Recipe: Just the Best Cookies (using oats, corn flakes, nuts and coconut)

1 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 egg
1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup uncooked rolled oats
1 cup crushed corn flakes
1/2 cup flakes coconut
1 cup chopped pecans
3 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
Powdered sugar (for sprinkling on tops)
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Add egg and blend. Add oil, stirring until oil is well blended.
Add oats, cornflakes, coconut and nuts. Stir until mixed.
Add flour, baking soda, salt and vanilla and mix well.
Form into balls about the size of a walnut. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet and flatten with a fork dipped in water.
Bake for 12 minutes before removing. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
