GRANDMA COLLEDGES SUGAR COOKIES
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup shortening
3 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 cup buttermilk
4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp pure vanilla extract
Cream sugar and shortening together, and then add eggs.
Put baking soda in a cup and fill cup with buttermilk. Stir over sugar and shortening and eggs. Then pour it all in.
Add rest of ingredients and mix well. Roll and cut.
Bake 11 minutes at 350 degrees.
These are excellent for Christmas Cookies.
