Recipe(tried): keeping whole nutmeg

Tips and Tricks - Cooking
ADVERTISEMENT
Hi Alice - A couple of years ago, I was in a wholesale spice place on Cape Cod and bought a small package (smallest they had) of about 20 whole nutmegs - I came home, put them into a Tupperware-type container, and have been using them ever since! Freshly grated nutmeg is the BEST - and I haven't notice any diminishing in the flavor - even when I start one, and don't use it again for a month - it still is so much tastier than the cans.

Enjoy it -
