Recipe: Mexican Snack Mix (using popcorn, Chex, French fried onions, pretzels)
Appetizers and SnacksMEXICAN SNACK MIX
3 tbsp. margarine or butter, melted
2 tsp. RedHot Cayenne Pepper Sauce
1 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. seasoned salt
4 cups popped popcorn
2 cans (2.8 oz. each) Durkee French Fried Onions
2 cups toasted corn cereal squares (Corn Chex)
1 cup mini pretzels
Mix margarine, cayenne pepper sauce, chili powder and salt.
In shallow roasting pan place popcorn, onions, cereal and pretzels. Pour margarine mixture over cereal mixture and toss to coat.
Bake at 250 degrees F for 30 minutes or until crisp, stirring twice. Cool completely before serving.
Makes 10 cups
