Recipe: Mountain Dew Cake with Pineapple Icing

Hi Sandy,

Here's a recipe from our archives:

MOUNTAIN DEW CAKE

1 box Duncan Hines Orange Supreme mix
1 box instant coconut pie filling
4 eggs
1 (12 oz.) can Mountain Dew cola
1/3 c. Crisco oil
FILLING:
1 sm. (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 stick (1/4 cup) butter or margarine
1 cup coconut

Mix as given in large mixing bowl.
Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees in a 13 x 9 inch lightly greased and floured pan.
Cook pineapple and cornstarch until thick and clear.
Add the butter and coconut.
Spread on cake while still warm.
