Recipe: No-Cook Best-Ever Applesauce (made by freezing apples)

Side Dishes - Assorted
NO-COOK BEST-EVER APPLESAUCE

4 to 6 medium apples, unpeeled, cored and quartered
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

Place all ingredients in a large resealable bag. Toss well to distribute evenly. Place in freezer for at least 4 hours.

Remove from freezer and allow to thaw for 1 hour or more.

Gently rub skin from frozen apples and place apple pulp into a glass serving bowl. Mash with a fork or potato masher. Serve cold.

Makes 8 servings
