Recipe: Old-Fashioned Rice Pudding (crock pot)

OLD-FASHIONED RICE PUDDING

Nonstick cooking spray
4 cups cooked rice
1 (12 ounce) can evaporated milk
1 cup milk
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup water
1 cup raisins, dried cranberries or dried cherries
3 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Coat a 3 1/2 to 4-quart slow cooker with nonstick spray.

In a large bowl, combine rice, evaporated milk, milk, sugar and water. Add raisins, butter, vanilla and cinnamon. Stir well. Transfer to slow cooker.

Cover and cook on low 2 to 3 hours. Stir well before serving.

Makes 12 to 14 servings
